Sanderson Continues to Celebrate its 150th Anniversary

As Sanderson continues to celebrate its 150th anniversary, a fabulous event was held on 14th July 2010, in the gardens of the official residence of British Ambassador, Mr James Watt in Amman, Jordan. With over 250 of Jordan’s most influential Interior Designers, it was a truly unique occasion in a beautiful setting and wonderfully organised by Sanderson’s long serving representative, Ayman Qassab.

Sanderson 150 Years with Nina Saunders & Tracey Neuls

Sanderson is collaborating with contemporary artist, Nina Saunders and independent footwear designer, Tracey Neuls to create a fusion of art and fashion, decorating and design, which will envelop the latter’s Marylebone Lane shop space

Sanderson Exhibition Preview: 18th March 2010

The exhibition is a fabulous mix of archive prints beginning with the 1800s all the way to chintz chairs, the skillful layout reflecting the 1950s and 60s style showroom. The informative, bubbly author and ‘Very Sanderson’ curator Mary Schoeser was on hand to answer questions and guide press through the exhibition, alongside David Smallridge, Managing Director and Victoria Blair, Marketing Director of Sanderson. The Sanderson design studio team attended and chatted to press about the 150th ‘Vintage’ collection inspiration, complete with new pattern books. The retro ads from Sanderson’s past were particularly popular as was the ‘Little Chelsea’ chintz roomset, which was subject to a a few photographs. On the way out, the press were able to enjoy the FTM gift shop, complete with Sanderson tableware, stationary and post cards all featuring ‘Early Tulips’ and ‘Dandelion Clocks’ designs.

Export Dinner & Exhibition Preview, 21st March 2010

On 21st March Sanderson held an export dinner to celebrate their 150 Year Anniversary. Taken by Route Master Bus from Chelsea Harbour to the British Fashion and Textiles museum, the guests had a private viewing of Very Sanderson introduced by Mary Schoeser. This was followed by dinner at Delfina’s. The Agents and distributors from 23 countries were present and Sanderson made a toast to strong partners across the world. A fun evening was enjoyed by all.

London Design Week, Chelsea Harbour, 22nd – 26th March

Sanderson presented the exciting launch of the 150th anniversary Vintage Collection. The show was well attended by customers from Sunday to Tuesday and during the later part of the week by students and the public. The reaction to the collection was extremely strong with many customers ordering the pattern books and displays. The showroom looked wonderful with Eglantine displayed in the main Sanderson area and exciting window displays causing much interest, endorsed by wining the Elle Decoration Showroom award.

Beijing wallpaper fair

The Sanderson Vintage collection had its official launch in China, through our newly appointed distributor Ming Wang, at the Beijing Wallpaper Fair. The show ran from the 15th-18th March. Early Tulips was given pride of place at the front of the stand and the Vintage collection had a fantastic reaction. The show was extremely busy and a great success.

Morges

Coinciding with the nearby Udati exhibition, the exhibition had a good customer flow and Sanderson’s new collections were well received.
